DHAKA MIXED HASH – RUN NO 1378

1st January 2008

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hangover Hash

Time: 40mins  Distance: 5.3km

Location:   Gulshan/Banani

Hares: WebFart, Warm&Fluffy

Hashers: 11

Milestones: WebFart (hared 100 times), CrustyLobster (125 runs)

A small turn-out for the run!

The Hangover Hash

It must have been a good New Year party as only 11 hashers managed to turn up for the Hangover Hash (and why wasn’t I there). A shame there weren’t more as WebFart had laid on t-shirts and patches to celebrate his 100th haring experience.

A slight re-enactment of the Chistmas Day hash with Warm&Fluffy as running hare, without paper (there wasn’t a hope in hell the hares were getting up early on New Year’s day to lay a trail), whilst WebFart led the walkers astray.

It must have been one of the smallest runs of the year, with only 2 game hashers willing to be led around Gulshan lake by Warm&Fluffy. As it turned out there was paper - the men’s hash had obviously followed exactly the same route the Monday before.

The larger group of walkers were joined by the increasingly go-slow LBH. Even slower were Bozo, SexStarvedInSrimangal and PrinceZulu who didn’t even make it to the hash until after the circle (but in time for the bloody marys and snacks!).

The Circle

Snacks kindly provided by TruckYanker and WebFart were munched on whilst the circle evolved. A small circle but there was lots to celebrate: WebFart on his 100th hare; CrustyLobster on her 125th run and the first certificate of the year. A down down of not quite chilled beer for everyone before GM WebFart wound up the circle and started handing out his famous bloody marys.

And so we started the New Year in true hashing fashion – pissed!

On on 2008…
